6. Wait until the driver installation is finished.
7. Launch the companion app. If the firmware number is back, the communication with the Revolution Pro Controller 3 works again.
8. Update your controller profiles.

No, the PS Remote Play app is dedicated for use with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 controllers. It is not supported by any other controllers.
